My LCD monitor went out this week, and just my luck it is also out of warranty.  Computer hardware almost always burns out after its warranty period is over. Anyways I checked the dell help forums and they mentioned that the symptoms my monitor was displaying show a bad inverter board or the back light is out. So I crossed my fingers and order only the back light since I still get a picture its just extremely dark.
Here is a picture of what it currently looks like with the brightness and contrast at 100%. Although this image doesn't seem so bad, its actually very dark.

I can usually take a snapshot of the screen with the flash on. This is what it looks like with the flash.

And yes it is on.

When I receive my back light for the monitor I take install pics, I hope its not too hard.
